CAPITAL DREDGING WORKS
Lengthening and Deepening of the Entrance Channel and Basins
PORT OF WALVIS BAY, NAMIBIA
Tenders are hereby invited from eligible Dredging Contractors with the relevant competencies, capacity and experience, to carry out the project works on a FIDIC DREDGING AND RECLAMATION WORKS CONTRACT. The Works, which is more fully described in the tender documentation, includes but is not limited to the capital dredging for the Lengthening and Deepening of the Entrance Channel and Basins as required for the design vessel. Quantities of "material" to be dredged is approximately 1.5 to 2 million cubic meters. This material will be disposed of at the approved off-shore dump site.
TENDER DOCUMENTS
Tender documents will be available as from
Monday the 9th of August 2010 only and may be viewed, or bought from NAMPORT head office Reception, located at physical address: No.17, Rikumbi Kandanga Road, Walvis Bay, Namibia on payment of a non-refundable tender levy of N$2,000.00 (Two Thousand Namibian dollars) per set inclusive of VAT payable in Namibia. A tender security of 5% of tendered price is required with tender submission. A post-qualification process will be followed.
COMPULSORY SITE INSPECTION
A compulsory clarification meeting and site inspection will be held on
Tuesday the 17th of August 2010 at 14h30. The meeting will start in the executive board room at Namport head office administration building, No. 17, Rikumbi Kandanga Road, Walvis Bay, Namibia.
TENDER CLOSING DATE
Tenders must be submitted as per the conditions of tender contained in the Tender documents before 12h00 (noon) on
Monday the 6th of September 2010.
