Financing Agriculture for Growth and Development

South Africa is a developing country and like all developing countries, agriculture is still a major contributor to the economy. While South Africa, along with other developing economies, is experience its fair of urbanization, those left behind will depend directly or indirectly on agriculture. Therefore, the newly formulated ministry of Rural Development and Land Reform will have to focus agriculture, among others, in the formulation of rural development strategies.
