The Summit brings together decision makers from Africa’s Institutional infrastructure investment community.
Judges looked at not only the financial aspect and structuring of the deal but also at how the infrastructure programme has been delivered in terms of the positive impact on the local community, both social and economic, consultation with key stakeholders and consideration of sustainable development and environmental concerns.
The award is in recognition of DBSA’s work on the City of Ekurhuleni’s Harambee Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) system. The DBSA provided debt funding to the value of R842m to this BRT project.
