I have completed, Bachelor of Science in Construction Studies, Bachelor of Science with Honours in Construction Management from University of the Witwatersrand.

Which division and unit do you work within at the DBSA?

I work in the Infrastructure Delivery Division (IDD) under Construction and Maintenance Unit 1.

Which DBSA value do you most associate with and why?

I associate mostly with Innovation, there is a diversified culture in terms of profession and background within the bank which I believe provides space for innovative ideas.

What does a typical work week in your life look like?

My day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to: tender evaluation, assessment of PSP reports (Initiation, Conceptual and design reports), evaluation and submission of EPWP reports, project closeout activities, consultations with contractors, site visits for monitoring of construction works and attending site briefings.

How would you describe your experience of the DBSA Graduate Programme

My experience has been great. There are really good, experienced personnel to help guide graduates in the bank and structurally there is also no limitations to how much you can learn and develop as a young professional, the program offers full exposure to the work environment.

What is your favourite part of the Graduate Programme?

My favorite part of the programme so far has been the opportunity to engage with people from various backgrounds, fellow graduates, Professionals and executives.

What are your future aspirations?

I aspire to attain Professional CPM Membership with the SACPCMP to work as a Pr CPM,  because I have gained a sustainable amount of experience in this field.

If you could invite 3 people to your “last supper”, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  1. My grandmother - She raised me well and instilled principles of hard work and determination within me.
  2. Elon Musk - He has intriguing ideas about the world in general I would love to have a conversation with him about what he thinks the future holds for us.
  3. President Ramaphosa - I am proudly South African and I am deeply concerned about where we are headed as a Nation, the president’s administration is central to this topic, I would like to speak to him at great length about it.

Your favourite movie/series/book?

My favourite movie is The Platform; In my opinion the movie is a metaphor about life which carries an interesting message. Through its metaphor the film argues that there is more than enough resources to go around but over-consumption and greed leads to inequality and various groups of people are not inclined or have the incentive to share with the impoverished and hence the unequal societies that we live in.
