The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new digital procurement platform, designed to streamline sourcing processes and strengthen engagement with suppliers and service providers.
The new Supply Chain Management (SCM) Portal forms part of the DBSA’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation and the modernisation of procurement practices, ensuring greater transparency, efficiency, and ease of doing business with the Bank.
Suppliers can now register, manage profiles, and submit proposals online through the new platform.

Impact of Changes: What Suppliers Need to Know
To participate in DBSA procurement opportunities, all suppliers are required to complete the following steps:
- Register on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and obtain a valid MAAA number.
➤ Click here to register on CSD - Register once-off on the new DBSA SCM Portal to respond to procurement opportunities.
- Submit proposals directly through the SCM Portal, in line with the roll-out plan below.
Roll-Out Plan
All procurement activities will transition to the SCM Portal through a phased implementation approach:
Phase 1 – Effective 1 November 2025
- Requests for Quotations (RFQs) below R1 million
Phase 2 – To Be Communicated
- Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Requests for Proposals (RFPs) above R1 million
